Beachside TOPSoccer

Rachel Price, a Melbourne Beach soccer phenomenon, was killed in a tragic car accident this past weekend.  Rachel will be remembered by everyone throughout the community as a stand out athlete, as well as a kind and enthusiastic person.  Beachside TOPSoccer sends prayers and condolences to the Price Family.  We pray that the soccer community will be inspired by Rachel's legacy, and we pray for peace over her family and friends.   There will a soccer event benefiting Rachel's family on March 10th, 2013, at the Melbourne Beach Soccer Fields.  The event will start at 9:00 AM and will include soccer activities and fundraising events.  Even if you cannot attend the event, please keep Rachel and the Price Family in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you!

We are so excited for our third season for Beachside TOPSoccer!  If you would like to join the Beachside TOPSoccer team, or are a returning athlete or volunteer, please visit our "Documents" tab to access registration forms for both athletes and volunteers.  Please complete the appropriate form and either email it to beachsidetopsoccer@aol.com or mail it to 509 2nd Avenue, Melbourne Beach FL, 32951.  Registration is FREE, and registered athletes will recieve a full uniform at our first practice sesson.  Volunteers will recieve a Beachside TOPSoccer t-shirt, as well as up to 30 community service hours.   The Opening Day of our 2013 Spring Season is scheduled for March 2nd, at Flutie Fields in Melbourne Beach.  We hope that you all can join us for another awesome season of Beachside TOPSoccer, and we encourage you to bring your friends and families!  If you have any questions or concerns please email us at beachsidetopsoccer@aol.com or call (321)-728-9703.  We can't wait to see you out on the field!

Our Fall Season will start on or around September 8th and will continue for eight weeks. We will hold practices every Saturday afternoon for two hours as usual. Registration for the Fall Season will start at the beginning of August, and registration documents for our 2012 Fall Season will be uploaded to the website before the end of July.

If you need signatures on your community service hours logs, or need to know how many hours you have logged through TOPSoccer, please email us at beachsidetopsoccer@aol.com or call (321)-728-9703 and leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, and request. PLEASE make sure you contact us so we can check our attendance records and make sure you are given credit for all of the hours you worked.

Thank you to all of the athletes and volunteers who attended the TOPSoccer Jamboree at the Space Coast Soccer Complex this Saturday! A special thank you to Joe and Michelle Duffy, as well as the TOPSoccer administration at Space Coast for making the jamboree happen.

This weekend we have been working on our Beachside TOPSoccer proposal that we will be presenting to the Executive Board of the Melbourne Beach Soccer Club.  We have secured a presentation slot at the board's next meeting, on January 26th.  If the Melbourne Beach Soccer Club endorses our program, then we will be ready to start our advirtising, fundraising, and other efforts to promote Beachside TOPSoccer.  If the club gives us approval, we will secure a location for our practices and a soccer club to be affiliated with!  For our proposal, we created a five minute video of our experience at the Indian River TOPSoccer sessions.  To view our video, please go to our "Resources" page and click on the youtube link! Welcome to TOPSoccer, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Beatrice and I co-started this organization here in Melbourne Beach, Florida alongside my friend Kimberly. Our mission is to create a fun place where kids and teenagers in our county with disabilities can come and enjoy playing the beautiful game of soccer and build life long friendships with others they can relate to. It's also an opportunity to remind ourselves that soccer isn't just about the scoreboard and the competition. Soccer is supposed to be a fun sport, not a job.
